We're not an anonymous fleet. We're a family business that has spent 11 years welcoming people at La Bellota Extremeña, in Las Palmas, and now we bring that same warmth to campervans: a vehicle looked after down to the last detail, and someone at the other end of the phone who knows every corner of the island.

A big Weinsberg panel-van conversion on a Fiat Ducato, registered in 2026 and fitted with everything that matters: two double beds, a gas kitchen with fridge and freezer, a bathroom with an indoor and outdoor shower, and solar panels for up to 4 days off-grid. We include kitchenware, bed linen and towels, and a small welcome pack, so on your campervan trip in Gran Canaria all you have to plan is where you want to wake up.

⚠️ Cabildo zones need a permit in advance (free, online). Facilities, prices and conditions can change, so check them before you go. Spending the night in the campervan is not camping: outside these zones, don't set up camp around it.

We've spent 11 years welcoming people at our original home, a short walk from Las Canteras: jamón ibérico (Iberian cured ham), cheeses, preserves and good wine. Now we want people to discover Gran Canaria in a different way, bringing that same quality and care to campervans. Come by before you set off, or to celebrate coming back.

What everyone asks us
What licence do I need?
The standard category B licence, nothing special. La Bellota weighs under 3,500 kg and drives like an ordinary van. One condition from the insurer, though: you must be at least 25 and have held your licence for 2 years.
How do I book and how do I pay?
Your dates are held with a 25% booking deposit by bank transfer. You can pay the rest by transfer or by card. And if you cancel 30 days or more in advance, we refund the booking deposit in full.
Is there a security deposit? How much is it?
Yes, a €800 security deposit by bank transfer, at least 7 days before pick-up. You get it back in full after the quick check we do together when you hand the campervan back.
How many kilometres are included?
200 km per rental day, plenty for getting round the island. If you'd rather not keep an eye on the odometer, upgrade to unlimited kilometres for €10/day; outside that package, each extra km is €0.25.
Where can I spend the night in the campervan?
In Gran Canaria you can spend the night anywhere parking is allowed, as long as you don't set up camp (table, awning, chairs…) outside authorised areas. Our selection is in the “Places to camp and spend the night” section: free Cabildo camping zones (the Cabildo is the island council) and campsites. We hand you the full map with the campervan, and we go over the rules in the welcome tutorial.
Can I bring my pet? Is smoking allowed?
Sorry: no pets and no smoking on board. That's how we keep the campervan spotless and allergy-free for everyone who travels in it.
Can you pick me up at the airport?
Yes, and we're right next door: our campervan hire base is in Ojos de Garza, 5 minutes from Gran Canaria airport. The transfer (there and back) is €40 per booking and we arrange it around your flight.
What if something goes wrong during the trip?
La Bellota has 24/7 roadside assistance, plus our own 24-hour emergency line for hire vehicles. We're a small business: a person answers, not a call centre.
What do I need to bring?
Not much: your clothes and an appetite for the island. The campervan comes with bed linen, towels, a full set of kitchenware, a coffee maker and a small welcome pack. If something's missing, tell us and we'll try to get hold of it.
